PDI/Dreamworks released Shrek in 2001. Shrek is a grouchy, terrifying green ogre who loves to be alone in the swamp where he calls home. He meets a bunch of fairytale characters when Lord Farquaad exiles them from the castle. Shrek goes on an adventure back to the castle with a talking Donkey to help get the fairytale character their home back.
