My Story
Hello my name is Clifton, I was born in San Antonio and I was also born with a congenital heart defect. The doctors said i wasn't supposed to live past two years old, but I ended up proving them wrong and making it to ten years old before I actually had my first surgery. From there it got a little better then it drastically declined, so far so that they wanted to give me a heart transplant, but I didn't have the time. So instead of a heart transplant they tied to replace the defective valve with one of my own natural valve and they thought it was a success. But after I stabilized and my heart rate and blood pressure went up the valve ruptured and they had to go back in and replace it with a mechanical valve called a Saints Judas valve. After that I was OK until i was 21 when i started having more complications.
