There are several things that are essential for me in a relationship. The man must be kind, intelligent, have a good sense of humor (snarky is ok), be loyal, have a good work ethic, be supportive, and be generally affectionate. The 'things' we have in common are less important than our values. I value honesty, learning, spiritual growth, and kindness, among other things.
