Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012) was a singer, model, actress, and producer from Newark, New Jersey. She was one of the best-selling music artists, selling well over 200 million records worldwide. She met R&B singer Bobby Brown in 1989 and later married him in 1992. The two had one child together, Bobbi Kristina Houston Brown. Whitney was found on February 11th, 2012 unconscious in her hotel bathroom with multiple drugs in her system.
