The Big Gay Out

Auckland, New Zealand

Sunday, February 8th, 2015, 12pm-7pm

This is an outdoor festival that features good music, stalls selling good food and other clothing and trinkets. They have really fantastic drag shows as well.  It’s really just a big outdoor market to socialize with people going through the same struggles with you. It’s also a good place to find those single gays and lesbians. You can go early with all your gay friends dressed exactly the way you want others to see you, slather on some sun block, mingle as you shop, grab some numbers, have lunch and then head out. It’s day well spent, make sure to bring your cell phone for selfies!

Cape Town Pride

Cape Town, South Africa

Friday, February 20th- Sunday, March 1st, 2015

Based around the original gay equality rallies to stop harassment at the Stone Wall Inn which is sometimes referred to as the birthplace of the modern gay rights movement. The rallying started because it was illegal for people who were gay to dance with each other or to be served alcohol. Now upon that they built a pride festival that takes place once a year where everybody is welcome. They have a variety of stalls and floats, food, music and dancing. It’s a great time for everybody!

Olivia Vacations

Everywhere

All the time

Have you heard about Olivia vacations? Well, it’s time to get in the loop! These vacations are exclusively for lesbian women to meet and mingle. You can travel to exotic places, stay on the beach and eat great cuisine. The cruise ships are filled with great entertainment such as comedy shows, music and dancing. They make sure to make the cruises comfortable so that you are able to go alone or with friends.

February isn’t the biggest month for LGBT events that include lesbians. The guys get all the action with bear events but it’s always fun to check out what you can do and where you can go. We’ll keep you updated with major monthly pride events around the world. We also suggest that you check out your local GSA (Gay straight alliance) they’ll keep you updated on local events, plan events and some even have group trips to visit major events.
